The Kyusu is a traditional Japanese teapot with a wide, flat bottom designed to minimize water turbulence, ensuring tea leaves aren’t agitated during steeping. This makes it the ideal brewer for green teas like Karigane (Sakura) or Sencha, which require a delicate touch to preserve their umami and sweetness. This version is handmade in Tokoname City, following the Tokoname ware technique. The clay used in the crafting process enhances the natural flavors of the tea, while the strainer built into the spout keeps leaves from spilling into your cup.

Due to its delicate craftsmanship, this piece is not microwave or dishwasher safe. Please wash gently by hand. Do not use perfumed dish soap, simply rinse your Kyusu with hot water between each use.
